Still on Vacation

Jalen, Landon, and I are still on vacation in Ohio. We are having a good time. We will be leaving to go back home in a week. We have been up to a lot of fun things. Visiting family, the zoo, parks, beach, birthdays, baby blessing, cedar point, swimming and lots of other fun stuff. I just decided to put a slide show on to show some of the fun things we have been up to.

On the Road

Well we finally made it to Ohio after being on the road for two days. We drove for 18 hours the first day and then we got to sleep in a really stinky hotel. It was stinky enough that Landon was actually crying about it. But what do you do when it is midnight and you have been driving all day. It actually got us on the road a lot quicker the next morning! We have been having lots of fun, but it is very hot. 90 degrees plus the humidity on top of that.

Here are the boys shortly after starting the trip. We left at 4:30 a.m. and it is light out so I guess it was a little bit into the drive. You can see all of our stuff in the back. I liked it when Landon turned around and noticed it all and said that is a lot of stuff!

Here is Landon taking pretty much the only nap he took the whole trip. Looks comfortable!
Here is Jalen looking even more comfortable! I don't know how kids sleep like that!

Here is Jalen on the second day enjoying a donut for breakfast.

Here is Landon on the second day enjoying a movie.

We were glad to make it and the kids were so good. In fact, they only said they needed to go to the bathroom 2 times and they didn't have to go in a water bottle the whole trip! That was amazing!

I gave blood today!

Yeah Me! I gave blood today. Now I guess you are thinking big deal, but I have never done that before and I was scared to death. I was so nervous I was all shaky when I went to sign in. Then I had to do some things before I actually donated. They had make sure I was a okay to donate. So it took a little while and it was all the longer for me to be nervous and think about it. Thank goodness it was at work and the ladies I work with were there for moral support! Well finally it was time to do it and so I got on my cot and of course was still shaky. They checked to make sure I had a good vein and then she asked me if I had eaten and what. I told her yes and it was a banana and she said that wasn't enough. So I ate some cookies and had an orange juice. While I was eating my snack I hear them ask for an ice pack for someone who was over in the part where you register and answer questions. I was wondering if someone passed out already. They weren't even over by the blood! Maybe it was the stick in the finger to check the iron. I dont know. I was just glad I wasn't that wimpy! Then a minute later I could here them talking to a guy on a cot behind me saying stay with us, stay with us, and are you okay and they just kept repeating it. So this is right before I was going and there was a guy passed out behind me!
So I was getting even a little more nervous. The lady who drew my blood was great and my boss at work stayed and talked to me for a while when they were getting me all set up. So it wasn't that bad at all! I did it and I didn't even feel like I was going to pass out! I tried something new! I was all worked up for nothing.

Vacation Time!!

We are leaving on vacation in 3 days! I am way excited to go to Ohio and see my family. We just have to decide which car to drive. The comfortable gas guzzler or the more economical but smaller car! I also need to find some subs for my class at church. And of course we have to figure out what to do with Scarlet! The next three days are going to be stressful. But at least I get to look forward to three weeks of vacation. Although I will still have my kids and who am I kidding.....can I really call that vacation?

My Boys, Happy and Sad

Landon was so sad today! His brother had a friend over to play and so he wanted to have a friend over to play. He went to see if some of his friends could play. After three tries he sat by the door and cried how he didn't have any one to play with!

The tooth fairy is coming to visit tonight! Jalen finally decided to let Dad pull out that loose tooth.
