What we've been up to!

Well I have a broken camera and so I haven't really posted lately because how fun is a post without pictures??? Thanks to Aunt Tam I have a couple pictures to post of Jalen playing flag football. He just finished flag football a few weeks ago and really had fun playing. He is looking forward to basketball in January. My Dad came to visit a few weeks ago from Ohio and my sister came to visit from Idaho. We had lots of fun going and doing things, but I have no pictures to post showing all of our fun! While Grandpa was visiting we went to the scarecrow festival at thanksgiving point. We had never been before and the boys loved it! It is tradition when Grandpa comes that he takes the boys to Boondocks and they had a blast there. I let the boys skip school one day and we went to Temple Square. The last night Grandpa was here the boys went and rode horses with Uncle Mike and Aunt Em. They really thought that was a lot of fun too. We had a lot of fun with all the family visiting. We ate too much, played a lot, and stayed up too late! I was sad to see it come to an end! Thanks Grandpa for everything! We had lots of fun!

I am really sad that my camera was broken and I couldn't get a picture of my boys in their halloween costumes. Well I did get a small one on my phone, but that was it! Jalen was Luigi and Landon was Mario. They made a cute pair. We had a busy day Friday! I got to help in Jalens class with his party. I was in charge of a game. I decided to take 5 plastic pumpkin buckets that you use for candy and have the kids toss ping pong balls into them. After an hour of chasing ping pong balls around the room and being pregnant I was hot and worn out! It was still lots of fun, but when I woke up Saturday morning my thighs were in pain!! After Jalens party I went to help in Landons class. I was in charge of the craft. We made ghost suckers and spiders. That was fun and the best part was I got to just sit the whole time. A well needed break after my workout in Jalens class. Then after the boys school parties we headed to the Legacy Center(where I work) for the Annual Lehi City Halloween Party. They had a magic show, trick-or-treating, a spook alley, and lots of games. Then after that we were off to my 4th party of the day, the Ward Halloween Party. They had trunk or treat, chili cookoff, and then games and cookie decorating for the kids. It was a great party! By the time we got home my feet were in pain! I was happy to kick off my shoes and relax for the night!!

Well I think that I need to look into buying a new camera. I am very sad about all the picture opportunities I have missed! With Christmas and a baby coming up I better find one soon! We can't miss anymore pictures!!!

Landons First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Landons first day of Kindergarten. He was very excited to start school. He goes in the afternoon and so he knew it was after lunch. He started asking about 8:30 if it was time for lunch. He kept asking all morning long if it was lunch time and if it was time to go to school. So after he had lunch he still had about 45 minutes before he had to leave and he couldn't stand it! He was so excited! He had a good first day! He has two friends in his class from church and he was excited he gets to sit by one of them in class.

Very excited to go to school!

Here's a Shocker!

Guess What! We are going to have a baby! Coming January 2010. I guess it is so shocking to some people because my baby is 5! A little bit of a gap and starting over with all the baby stuff! We are excited for a new baby and I will be even more excited if there is pink in my future!!

Well I am a bit nervous! It has been so long I kind of forget. I guess forgetting about having to take my new baby back to the hospital after only being home a day or so.....

And forgetting how Landons head looked when he came out after the doctor really wanted me to have a c-section, but I was scared and said no let me try a little longer.......

And forgetting how absolutely huge I get when I am prego and that is even on a strict no sugar diet........ So please no judging! (this was with Jalen and I think I still had a good 4 weeks to go)

And forgetting how bad I get the "baby blues" after I have my babies! I guess that forgetting was good! I just have to remember my two sweet boys! And how much fun they are most of the time. I just have to keep thinking pink!

They are pretty fun and sweet!

My New Calling

I recieved a new calling at church on Sunday..... Primary President!! I am feeling very lucky that I get to spend every Sunday in primary with the sweet children of the ward. I am very excited to serve where I am asked. Although that doesn't mean I am not worried, nervous, and just plain scared! I know that I will grow tremendously from this experience and it will bless the life of me and my family. I feel very grateful that the Lord would trust me with these precious children! Now I just need some time to figure out what I am doing! I know that we are not given anything that we cannot handle! Amy and Misti be prepared for all the phone calls! I have some big shoes to fill!

MY FLOWERS

I was very excited when we came home from vacation to see how big and colorful my flowers were in my parking strip! They didn't look like this at all when we left and they didn't look like this last year when we first planted them. I am so excited at how they turned out! Although I can't take any credit for the way they look because I really haven't done anything besides pull a few weeds and water them! Now I am waiting for my daisies to bloom in the next week or so we will be overtaken with them. I am just glad that no one can see my roses that are in the back. I guess you actually have to take care of them and I am not sure how yet!

Washington D.C.

Before we flew back from North Carolina we got to visit D.C. for a couple of days. It was fun to see all the stuff, but I think that we wore the boys out with the heat and all the walking. They were pretty good sports though for what we put them through. We really only had less than two days to see the sights before we had to fly out. We got to see a lot of stuff. We really packed it all in in less than 48 hours. It was fun and the best part about it was everything is free.

We got to go see the D.C. temple. That is where my parents and siblings were sealed. It was awesome. It had a been a while since I had been to see it.

Jalen and I outside the White House. It was cool. We saw the special guards on the rooftop keeping the place safe.

Breaking for lunch. Talk about some overpriced hot dogs!

Jalen and the giant Abe. He really wanted his picture taken by everything. It was cute.

Here is us at the mall.

The boys checking things out at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. It was awesome. The boys loved it.

Here is the changing of the guard at Arlington National Cemetary. This was right before Landon got yelled at by the guard for not standing up. He was tired already and it was hot, but I guess that is no excuse for a 5 year old.

The boys at the zoo. They were wiped out. This was as we were walking out and they needed a rest.

Outer Banks, North Carolina

We had so much fun going to the Outer Banks with my family a few weeks ago. It worked out last minute that everyone was going to be able to make it and we would all be together. It is not often that all 33 of us get together at the same time. My parents rented this awesome house right on the beach. The view out the back window was the ocean. It was a short walk out the back door and you were on the beach. Since we would all be together we suprised my parents and had a photographer come and take our family picture on the beach. It was great. We had a great week. The first few days were rainy and cold and so we had to stay in, but by the middle of the week we got to spend lots of time on the beach. The boys loved building sand castles, running from the waves and looking for crabs and seashells. They really loved going in the hot tub too! We got to have family night with everyone together and that was fun. We had a fun week together and it was so great to see the whole family. I miss them all so much already!

This was our view from the back deck of the house. This day the ocean was angry.

This is me and all my siblings.

This is the 16 grandkids. This can give you an idea of how the family pictures went. Even a profesional can hardly handle all these kids!

Catching up

Well spring break was a couple of weeks ago and I am just finally blogging about it. I got busy with family visiting and never posted any pictures. Spring break was actually pretty crappy weather. The nicest day of the week, Monday (70s) we were in Idaho still for Easter. Then the rest of the week was snow and rain all the way until about friday when the sun finally came out. Anyways we had to do lots of things indoors because of the yucky weather. Of course the first day we were in Rexburg, so the boys got to play with cousins. They of course had lots of fun. Now I am having a hard time remembering what we did it was so long ago. Of course we met dad for lunch at Carls Jr one day. Went to the movies and saw Hotel for Dogs. It was cute. The boys liked it. Went swimming at the Legacy Center. I saved the best for last. I took the boys to the dinosaur museum at thanksgiving point. They had only been once before and loved it. They are always asking to go back, but it is expensive and so we hadn't ever been back. Well I finally took them and they had a great time. Thanks to a coupon and gift card it only cost us 3 bucks to get in.
