Jalens Birthday Celebration
Both of the boys are watching a movie and running fevers and so I thought I would take advantage of the down time and post real quick. Well poor Jalen was sick for his birthday and so it didn't go like usual. He spent most of the day laying around and watching movies. He had wanted to go to Mcdondalds for dinner, but since he was sick he asked me just to go get it and bring it home. I don't think he really wanted to eat anyways. So I got him some balloons because he loves balloons. Then he wanted to get to opening his presents. He got a wii game and a ds game and a bike from Mom and Dad and Landon. He got an OSU jersey (which he has been wearing ever since) and a gift card from Grandma and Grandpa Bibler. He got a webkinz and a pair of jeans and shirt from Grandma and Grandpa Clements. He was very excited about all his gifts. His little friend also brought him over a big sticker activity book and coloring book which he really loves and has kept him very busy while he is sick. It was so sweet of his friend. When it was time for cake and ice cream we sang happy birthday and then we all had some except Jalen. He wasn't feeling good again. His fever broke long enough for the celebration and then he was back up in bed watching t.v feeling yucky again. I kept asking him if he had a good birthday even though he was sick and he says yes. I just feel bad he felt yucky and he didn't even have cake and ice cream on his own birthday. Hopefully next year he won't be sick.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JALEN!
Today is Jalens 7th birthday! I can't believe that he is already 7. He is a sweet boy! He is a great big brother to Landon. My friend told me in sharing time at church the other day Jalen had to pick a helper and he picked Landon. I was so proud to hear that. He is a good helper. Jalen usually likes to pick a theme for a cake for his birthday! This here he went with the funfetti cake! Hey I had no problem with that. It will be so easy. The poor guy came down with a fever last night and is sick today on his birthday! He just keeps making sure he can still open his presents even though he is sick. I am not sure he will be up to cake and ice cream though. I will have to post pictures from this years birthday later! Happy Birthday Jalen. We love you!

Itty Bitty Basketball
Landon played Itty Bitty basketball. He had fun playing! I thought this video was funny. You have to watch for a few seconds before he gets the ball. He goes for a basket and misses and another kid on his team gets the ball and he takes the ball away from the kid and goes for another basket. So he travels all the way down the court, misses the basket and then steals it from a player on his own team goes for another basket and misses! What are they teaching these kids! He actually makes baskets, but for some reason I was never taping when that happened! He was really cute and loved to go and play baseketball.

Catching up!
Well I have been wanting to catch up with what we did over the rest of Christmas vacation, now that it is the 2nd week of January. I was down last week with what the doctor thinks is a herniated disc. I just laid in bed as much as possible and was taking all the drugs the doctor gave me! That is what kept me happy! I am happy to say so far this week I am feeling a lot better, but not completely back to normal. I guess that will take time right. I am trying to take it easy, but it is hard to do that when you are a mom! I was turning into the 1/2 ton mom that I watch on tlc. I was laying in bed all day and eating and that was the extent of my activities.
Anyways my post is lacking in pictures, because I kept forgetting to take my camera with me and so I only have a few. We went to Rexburg for the New Year. The boys were very excited to see cousins and had such a fun time. The drive to Idaho was very scary! The weather was not so good and so I was on the edge of my seat the whole 5 hours! It felt good to finally get there and relax. While in Rexburg the boys were most excited to ride the snowmachines and to go "hunting" with dad and grandpa. Dad and Grandpa and Jalen and Landon went on a Buffalo hunt. The boys were just excited to see dad shoot a buffalo and they told me all about how it fell over. Then how they saw it get skinned and the stomach and heart fell out. Lets just say I am glad I stayed home! Landon took some pictures with his camera. He was pretty excited. Dad was happy to get a chance to shoot something even if it was on a farm. The boys think its pretty cool they get to eat it now.
Sean couldn't wait to get out the snowmachines and start them! While getting them off the trailer the hitch broke and it smashed his dads hand. Ouch! His poor dads hand which I didn't see until a day or two later (because it was splinted) was so swollen! Sean felt really bad and just barely stopped telling me how stupid he is! He says it was his fault! Sorry Dad! Hope your hand is feeling better! Eventually the kids got to ride the snowmachines around the yard! They had a lot of fun taking rides with dad!
I was so glad that my old neighbor and friend Liz stopped by with her kids to visit for a little bit. It was great to see you! I miss you guys!
The kids had been looking forward to going bowling with Aunt Keri! So when she finally made it back to town we took the kids bowling. Aunt Keri, Aunt Tiana, and I took my boys and Tanner and Carter bowling! They had a really good time and they are all great at bowling. They beat me I know. I think I am going to get the bumper lanes next time!
We took the boys to see Marley and Me! Thanks for going with Scott and Tiana! That was fun! I thought it was a cute movie. My boys really stayed interested in it also. There were a couple parts that I wanted to cover my kids eyes, but they were quick thank goodness. It was only PG! I was glad the only one asking questions afterwards was Uncle Scott and not the kids! Sorry Scott, couldn't help myself!
Well we had a good time in Idaho and were happy to see everyone and have a good time. Now we are adjusting to life after the holidays. The boys are back in school. Jalen and Landon are both playing basketball. I will have to post some pictures soon!

BULLIES
Jalen and his group of friends that he walks home from school with were having some trouble with older kids picking on them. They have some bullies that like to pick on them on the way home from school. They call them names and throw snowballs at them and put snow down their coats and tease them. Jalen had told me about it a couple of times but I guess I didn't think that he seemed too bothered by it. Anyways earlier this week he came home and said that these boys threw some ice at his leg and that it hurt and that they were calling him names and being mean. Well I just told him to ignore them and they would stop. So the next day I kind of had forgotten about it, but I was outside as the kids were coming home from school and instead of the larger group that Jalen walks with it was just him and one other little boy. One of the kids was sick and the others the mom went and got them because of the situation with these mean boys. I saw Jalen walking towards me and I asked him if everything was alright and if he was okay. He just started bawling and said they told me I had an ugly face! It just broke my heart. The poor thing! He was so sad. Well I tried to pick him up the next day, but he wanted to walk and just ignore them. I just slowly followed along in the car and watched. The kids were chasing and throwing snowballs again. I saw one of the dads of Jalens friend tell the kids to knock it off and he got after them. Then today Jalen braved it all alone. His whole group got a ride home, but he wanted to walk. His friends mom got after the bullies today and told them they better stop or she would go talk to the parents. I went and watched him come home and he seemed to be alright. Kids can be so mean. It is sad! I just try to use it as a teaching moment. I just hope that he doesn't ever treat anyone like that. Now I know I am biast, but how could anyone call this cute, sweet face ugly??? Later on that night it was so cute. Jalen said to me mom those boys were lying. I said what did they say? He said remember they said I had an ugly face. They sure were lying!!
