Washington D.C.

Before we flew back from North Carolina we got to visit D.C. for a couple of days. It was fun to see all the stuff, but I think that we wore the boys out with the heat and all the walking. They were pretty good sports though for what we put them through. We really only had less than two days to see the sights before we had to fly out. We got to see a lot of stuff. We really packed it all in in less than 48 hours. It was fun and the best part about it was everything is free.

We got to go see the D.C. temple. That is where my parents and siblings were sealed. It was awesome. It had a been a while since I had been to see it.

Jalen and I outside the White House. It was cool. We saw the special guards on the rooftop keeping the place safe.

Breaking for lunch. Talk about some overpriced hot dogs!

Jalen and the giant Abe. He really wanted his picture taken by everything. It was cute.

Here is us at the mall.

The boys checking things out at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. It was awesome. The boys loved it.

Here is the changing of the guard at Arlington National Cemetary. This was right before Landon got yelled at by the guard for not standing up. He was tired already and it was hot, but I guess that is no excuse for a 5 year old.

The boys at the zoo. They were wiped out. This was as we were walking out and they needed a rest.

That beach house looks amazing. I bet you had a blast. Washington DC is wonderful. Brett and I got to visit in 2007 and we loved it.
Why did you choose North Carolina?? Do you have family that live there?

And I take it you aren't spending the summer in Ohio? I know you usually spend a month or so at home. Wondered if you would be passing through.
Hopefully I will see you when I come to Utah.
