First Day of School
Jalen started his first day of 1st grade yesterday. He was very excited to go to school! He has been waiting for this day for a while. He looks a little nervous! Now I am looking forward to Landon starting preschool in a couple of weeks!

These are for you Mom. Here are some pictures of your baby so you can see how he is doing. I even got a little video clip for you. My little patient is doing well! Only a couple days and he will be in Nurse Paula's care!

A mormon and a muslim
Here is an article about my brother and his wife. It is about interfaith relationships.

My Poor Brother!
My brother called me Saturday morning to tell me he got hit by a truck! When I say hit I mean auto/vs pedestrian. He was going to walk across the street in the cross walk and got hit by a truck. We are very glad that he is doing as good as he is. He has lots of scrapes, bruises, concussion, broken teeth, and a very broken nose. His knees are hurting him pretty bad also. We are hoping for a speedy recovery and no surgeries!
LAGOON
We went to Lagoon on Saturday. The kids had a great time and loved it. Jalen was able to go on a lot of the bigger rides and so he really loved it. Landon was a little sad about that because he wanted to go with Daddy and Jalen. Maybe next year! The weather wasn't too bad. A little bit hot, but at least the rain held out for us!

Itty Bitty Soccer
Landon did a session of Itty Bitty Soccer. Today was his last day and it was really hard to get him to go. He did not want to go. That is just him being stubborn as usual. He probably only went for about half of it. I finally convinced him to go. I told him that he would have to give me 5 bucks to pay for the day he missed and he would have to sit in his room for the whole time that he missed. Sounds kind of harsh, but I guess it worked.
A note from my Mom
I was cleaning off our computer desk last week and I came across this note my mom had mailed to my family. It is maybe a couple years old but the message was neat. I had tucked it away and it was great to come across it and read it. I have read it several times since I found it.
"Dear Kids-It's early January, I'm feeling reflective and I guess I just felt the need to let each of you know how blessed I feel! For some reason this past Christmas just felt so good. I was touched over and over again, feeling so lucky and thankful for the family which I have been blessed with. I have always felt you were my best friends, I have always enjoyed just being with you-there is no one I would rather spend time with. Now I see all of you wanting to be together-It makes me so happy. I know that is exactly how Heavenly Father intended for families to be. As we travel through this earthly existence we need others around us who will love us no matter how "bratty" we may behave at times. Have you ever really thought about the support system you each have? It is an awesome thought! Each one of you has has wonderful qualities that others can appreciate and learn from. As the new year begins I would encourage you to each go forward-continue to love and support one another-never let anything break that bond. Set goals and reach beyond your comfort zones and make the very most of this year. Love your children, teach them, spend time with them, put them first in your life and if you do I promise you someday you will be able to look back and feel good about the job you did-you will be able to look forward to a peaceful and happy existence surrounded by the ones you have loved and nurtured. Love, Mom"
